Tourism Development Plan
Wild South Coast way
The Department of Environment and Water contracted Effektiver to develop the “Wild South Coast Way – Tourism Experience Development Plan” to help unlock the full potential for nature-based tourism opportunities on the Heysen Trail to drive future demand for authentic, immersive and accessible tourism experiences that will generate economic benefit to the region. The plan outlines the WSCW opportunity for the Fleurieu Peninsula Visitor Economy, identified ideal customer personas and their customer journey, describes the narrative of nature-based tourism experiences, and commercial opportunities for industry stakeholders.


Clare Valley
Wine Experience Development Project
The Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association contracted Effektiver to work with 15 Clare Valley wineries to develop a wide range of commissionable and online bookable winery experiences available for tourism trade distribution.


Barunga West Council
(Yorke Peninsula, South Australia) Tourism Marketing Plan 2020-2025
Barunga West Council contracted Effektiver to develop its Tourism Marketing Plan with the aim to position this northern part of the Yorke Peninsula Tourism region as a destination within the consideration set for visitors to the Yorke Peninsula. Following a comprehensive SWOT analysis the plan outlined the ideal customer journey and identified gaps in terms of visitor experiences. A new tourism vision was translated into actionable plans to increase visitor expenditure to the council region. The plan included a destination marketing plan, a destination development plan, a destination business capability plan, and a destination management plan to present a clear pathway to attract tourism investment into region and position the destination as a compelling option for a Yorke Peninsula holiday.


Adelaide
Hills Wine Experience Development Project
The Adelaide Hills Wine Region contracted Effektiver to work with over 25 Adelaide Hills wineries to develop a wide range of commissionable and online bookable winery experiences available for tourism trade distribution.


RDA
Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Review
Regional Development Australia (RDA) contracted Effektiver to review Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism including its operating structure, funding model and service delivery model. The project involved an extensive stakeholder consultation process as part of the situation analysis, identification of issues and recommendations towards towards FPT’s governance structure, strategic priorities, stakeholder engagement and core value proposition.


City of ONKAPARINGA
Growing your visitation and yield program
The City of Onkaparinga contracted Effektiver to develop and implement an Internationally Ready Industry Capability Building Program. The program is focused on increasing the quality of commissionable tourism experiences in the McLaren Vale and wider Onkaparinga region that can be packaged and sold through domestic and international trade partners (both traditional and online).


Sealink South Australia
Customer First Project
Sealink South Australia engaged Effektiver to deliver a Customer First Project. The objectives of the project as to identify product and service improvements to enhance Sealinks’ customer experiences across critical customer touchpoints and ultimately improve reach, engagement and conversion for selected Kangaroo Island products. This customer-centric project involved 18 team members across the business and involved desktop research on Sealink’s customers, hands-on workshops, customer observations and interviews using design thinking principles and tools including customer personas and customer journey maps.


TiCSA Tourism
IQ Webinars, Workshops and Online Training Course
TiCSA contracted Effektiver to deliver a range of webinars and workshops and an online training course using Canvas, a leading learning management system. The online training course focused on Covid-19 crisis management and building resilience in tourism businesses and featured topics such as business survival tips, government grants, thriving in uncertain times, crisis communication, strategies for the resumption of business, and planning for the future. Webinars topics included Domestic Tourism Distribution, Designing a Tourism Experience, Business Continuity Planning, Resetting Your Tourism Business, International Tourism Distribution, and Sustainability. Workshops included Experience Design, Packaging and Partnerships, Destination Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and Online Distribution. TiCSA contracted Effektiver to deliver coaching to tourism businesses focused on marketing, product development, experience design, tourism distribution, customer personas and customer journey mapping, and brand management.


Naracoorte Cottages
Naracoorte Cottages contracted Effektiver to scope the development of a new mobile friendly website including selection of an online booking system and channel manager to shift from manual handling of bookings to online bookings. The project also included the development of a tourism distribution plan to maximise third party bookings.
